Meet Gem
Just as any average joe, I did not know where my career or life was going to take me. Struggling as the daughter of a first-generation immigrant, fresh out of college, it was challenging to find solace in a change of environment while growing up in a different country. Despite that, I continued to work as a registered nurse just as planned. As I continued climbing the ladder to greater feats, I forgot to care for myself whilst caring for others.
Ino, my loyal furry companion, has always been with me to make me feel light and warm during heavy, stress-ridden days. A yearning from a past dream, as I laid with her, ignited my passion to cook and bake food in her likeliness. Immediately this gave me purpose and drive to comfort people around me and to show that there is something more to life than a routine 9-5 or 7pm-7am job- there are no corners or dead ends but sometimes just loose ends that need to be strengthened.
